Today's article or post is all about the beauty of being unique in what you see as fun,having a beauty of team Spirit,utilizing every moment with creativity a key,and having supporting parents who see potentials and see the drive to make it's bloom. Today is about the "Ikorodu bois"

Living in the Ikorodu part of Lagos Nigeria,the most populous and creative filled place in the West of Africa is something phenomenal,creative filled and now international stars and these stuff are just young warlocks taking the field of life with so much force. These boys  which as fondly called the "Ikorodu Bois" showing much love for their community are a Nigerian online comedy group that recreates and mimics "multi-million dollar music videos and Hollywood movie trailers.

These Ikorodu Bois comprises of three (3) brothers and their cousin: brothers Babatunde Sanni, 23, Muiz Sanni,15, Malik Sanni, 10 and their cousin Fawas Aina, 13. The three young boys are usually involved in the videos and their eldest brother Babatunde Sanni edits the videos and manages them. They dubbed their name from the city of Ikorodu in Lagos, Nigeria where they live. These visibly shows that it ain't about the size but the skill of the user and the creative mind of the team in function towards a driven goal and passion which fondly can be termed "fun" but can be something world class if acted upon professionally as the "bois" did and now we see international stars born.

This group began in 2017, when Babatunde Sanni decided to share their skills to the world via social media. In an Interview with CNN, Sanni said "I felt like 'these things we are doing in our house -- why don't we start putting them online?'". "Our house is like a comedy house -- we play too much," Babatunde Sanni told CNN. Wow and I bet it wasn't a gold plated house but a home where happiness was seen and fun was incorporated into use by a brotherhood who saw big. More in these on my further post.

The group make use of household items to depict top gears used in movies. They also use the local wheel barrow to replicate luxury cars showing that low budget doesn't place the factor that something little erupts from it,I bet it's the opposite cos that's what these shows in the case if the Ikorodu Bois.

In April 2020, US actor and rapper Will Smith shared a clip of Ikorodu bois Bad Boys Forever on his Instagram page with the caption "This is GENIUS @ikorodu_bois!!". 

Alvaro Morte who starred as Professor in Money Heist after watching a mimicry of the Spanish Series scene said they did "What an amazing job.

As of recently the ikorodu Bois have earned an invite to the world premiere of Netflix action thriller, Extraction 2 after making a remake of the first trailer,showing that ingenuity pays and Hollywood springs open for young Nigerian blood and their dreams just skyricked what a wow.


The Ikorudu Bois created and shared their remake of the trailer of the first film on their Twitter page.

“We so much love this movie and we hope @chrishemsworth and @netflix sees this remake, pls retweet” they captioned the video which showed their shot-by-shot version of the trailer.


The producers of Extraction, Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo, collectively known as the Russo brothers praised the remake and also invited the boys for the world premiere of the sequel of the film.

“This is awesome! We would love to have you guys at the #Extraction 2 premiere…DM us and we’ll get you there!

Chris Hemsworth, the star of the film, reposted the remake on his Instagram page. “huge shout out to these amazing young film makers @ikorodu_bois for recreating @extraction trailer shot for shot! I think your version might be better than the original !! @netflixfilm”, he captioned.
Extraction’s director Sam Hargrave also shared the video and wrote

“So awesome!! These amazing young filmmakers from Nigeria recreated the #Extraction trailer shot for shot. Such ingenuity!! Bravo. Link to their full-length original video on twitter in my bio. CHECK IT OUT! @netflixfilm @netflix @chrishemsworth #youngfilmmakers #cool #bravo #encore”

The Ikorodu Bois have also gained over 500,000 followers on Instagram

The Ikorodu Bois have gained fame for mimicking music videos and film trailers. In April, they were praised by Spanish actor Álvaro Morte, the lead character of Netflix Spanish drama series, Money Heist. The boys have also earned recognition and praise from major Hollywood stars such as Will Smith and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Ikorodu Bois have also done replica videos of DJ Cuppy, daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, Nigerian US-based artists Davido

, American Actor and WWE star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Roddy Rich, Justin Beiber, Nigerian President Mohammadu Buhari and did a farewell replica of NBA Star Kobe Bryant shortly after his death. is what matters"
